Playable Demo by August

Blizzard just announced that visitors to Blizz Con will be given the opportunity to play multiplayer demos. Considering that it is less than 50 days away its possible that they might be farther in development than many have been saying. Although, I'm wondering to what extent the gameplay will be. Seeing that they have only released information about protoss I could see that being the only playable race.

Stupid Blizz Con being in California. What about the rest of us who don't have the time/money to fly across the country to attend a nerd convention. I just wana play SC2.

Will people not going to the event be able to get the demo? The event is a waste of time im just looking to play the demo and get it from a close circut city or best buy.

No it will not be available for people not going. The first opportunity most people will get to play will be when they start doing beta testing (by the way everyone who is attending blizz con will also be recieving a beta key as part of their 'goodie bag' they recieve when they get there).

The only time you'll be able to go to a Best Buy or Circuit City will be to buy the real game once it's released.

Well for those of you who are within driving distance here's your chance to go. I grabed this off battle.net:

BlizzCon tickets are sold out, but various contests are going on at Blizzard fan sites this week, with tickets going to the winners. So whether you're an artist, a writer, a forum poster, or just an interested player, there are opportunities awaiting you at these sites. Hurry--most of these contests will be ending soon.
