Sensor Tower

Man, what good is having a sensor tower if it tells all your enemies exactly where your base is? I mean they are bound to find out eventually but what if you want to set up a mining camp without telling the world? Sounds a bit rubbish to me!

Don't rush to throwing sensor towers to the garbage heap. Think of it this way: you can set up decoys or ambushes with them.

Ods are that the enemy will find your base by exploration rather than you giving out your position by building sensore towers.

As for mining camps, you're right about that, but still there are probably other alternatives to building sensor towers (science vessels maybe).

The amount of new strategies and tactics this single building adds will be insane. Think of all the flanking and decoys you can do with this in addition to gaining enemy knowledge. There's also the option of just not using it if you really hate it that much.

wow dont think of this too much but an protos can get ambushed but the zerg was actually setting up an ambush on the ambush to ambush the protos but the protos knew that the zerg was ambushing the ambush so they desided to gett in heavy artilery and ambush the ambushed ambush and then the terran can nuke all the ambushes at 1 time

how does it tell the enemy where you are? the purpose of a radar tower is to see in the fog of war, the sound that goes off they wont be able to hear. it seems that missle turrets no longer will have the sensor affect for cloaking units, so sensor towers will be a must. i mean, with all the units that can now cloak these things will be a big part of the game. im personally a fan of infantry based combat. i always go with a rine pump with ups. when im zerg i go with hydras and ups.

The sensor tower will reveal it's location to the opponent. Like you'll be able to see it like it's your own.
