Race preference?

There are no posts in this section yet, so I'll just try to get it started...
when you create your profile for this site, it asks what your favorite race is. My question is: Why did y'all choose the race you did, and what is your strategy with that race?

Well I chose Protoss because it's my "main" race. It's what I'm best at and what I play when I want to win. I'll only play random or Zerg/Terran if I'm playing against an easy opponant, for "fun".

As for strategy, well that's a pretty open-ended question, as it really depends on what's going on on the battlefield. Generally though I'm a very economical player; I focus a lot of the economics of the game and so therefore try to secure as many "expos" as I can and like to macro it out.

What about the protoss allows you to win? Why are you the best with protoss?

I like the Zerg because they are just so bad ass, and you can mass produce the zerglings and they are fast! They can get to an enemies base quickly, and it is easy to get up some small defense early in the game.
Terran is also one of my favorite, because I can relate to them. (they are human) And the marines are the best base unit.

I prefer protoss for warping in buildings. It's so much easier to just have one probe building all the buildings insted of taking a bunch away from gathering minerals to go build buildings. Plus it allows you to build multiple buildings at the same time no matter how many probes you have. I know that the extra cost of their buildings is what evens it out, but even then it's handy in that you can then focus on other things going on insted of making sure your builders get back to mining once they're done.

Not to sound like a troll, but this is a very poor reason for why you prefer Protoss... sure probes can warp in buildings and then are free to do whatever they wish, but if your reason that this is beneficial is because you can return the worker back to mining minerals, then your rationale is flawed... because a simple shift+click on minerals after you instruct an SCV to make a barracks has the same effect, and a drone morphs into a building so that is a non-issue...

I think saying something such as you prefer Protoss because the units are stronger woudl make more sense...

Harsh..
The shift click thing works, but when you do that, you could have SCV's trekking all the way acros the map at times, and possibly getting killed.

Why are you making your barracks halfway across the map?

whether you are hinting at him or not, it wouldn't be so much that you are building barracks' all the way across the map but that your SCV is going to get minerals from all the way across the map. If you can move your stuff, that isn't as much of a problem.
